In a nutshell
Hi,
I m Dr. Kiersten Baughman, an experienced social psychologist who studies cultural factors related to relational violence.
I have over 15 years of experience in teaching a wide variety of psychology courses and published a textbook on learning as well as numerous articles in journals.
I also present at academic conferences and am very active in violence prevention work at the local and national levels.

My approach to therapy is systemic, recognizing that many external factors contribute to reasons clients seek therapy. I am eager to collaborate with you, whether as individuals, couples, or families, as you strive to live your best life.

Outside of the office
I am an avid reader and love just about all genres. My favorite is definitely romance, but I've branched out to mystery, suspense, and even some thriller.
I love a good rom-com. I have always enjoyed relationship dynamics, which is part of what has attracted me to the field of psychology.
I enjoy spending time with my fur babies, Max, Midnight, and Mollie, all rescues. Max and Midnight are 11-year-old Border Collie mix litter mates, and Mollie is a 9-year-old German Shepard mix.
I love to explore other cultures and find myself in a variety of volunteer roles as I work to minimize relational violence. My favorite place I've traveled to date is Australia - my bucket list destination that did not disappoint!
